The 2011 Juneau Inaugural Gala will be a uniquely themed community-wide celebration of the Inauguration of Governor Parnell and Lt. Governor Treadwell.

The event is planned to reflect, attract and welcome the diversity represented in Juneau’s individuals and industries. Through generous sponsorship, we will be able to keep tickets to the evening affordable to all. Any proceeds after event expenses will be donated to SAIL (Southeast Alaska Independent Living.)

Spread over two locations, each with a distinct feel yet common theme, the gala will attract all members of our community – from guests who want to celebrate in comfort to those who enjoy the rare occasion to dress in their best. Centennial Hall will have the feel of a traditional formal event while the adjacent Juneau Arts & Cultural Center will have a more casual atmosphere. Both venues will offer suitable live music for dancing (Thunder Mountain Big Band at Centennial Hall and a popular rock n’ roll band, Kari and the Wristrockets, at the Juneau Arts & Cultural Center).  A creative array of hors d’oeuvres specific to each venue, along with no-host bars will be available. The goal is for guests to mix by moving between both locations to experience the fun each has to offer. From blue jeans to ball gowns…everyone will enjoy taking part in celebrating our state’s bright future!
